Neighborhood process (image processing)A class of image-processing
routines that works on neighborhoods of pixels.
Each pixel in the new image is computed as a function of the neighborhood
of the pixel from the original pixel.
The neighborhood ID is defined by a kernel that is set once for each
image to be processed.
