IMAGING GLOSSARY
Jaggies (imaging)A term used to describe the visual appearance of lines and shapes in raster pictures that results from a grid of insufficient spatial resolution.
If the intensities of neighboring pixels lie between the background and
line intensities, the line becomes slightly blurred, and the jagged
appearance is thereby diffused. See
Anti-aliasing.
