IMAGING GLOSSARYDPI (printing)
Dots Per Inch. The number of printer dots that can be printed in one inch.
The printer's resolution is defined by the number of dots per inch:
lower resolution = less dots per inch
Higher resolution = more dots per inch.
Dots Per Inch is completely determined at scanning time, and is not to be
confused with the resolution of a display device, which is typically
measured in pixels.
