CUT (file format extension)

Format originator: Media Cybernetics

The Dr. Halo file format is a widely-used format associated with the HALO Image File Format Library, the Dr. Halo III paint program, and other applications created by Media Cybernetics. It is a relatively simple format, but its lack of a powerful compression scheme makes it unsuitable for images containing a wide range of colors.
